Blue Path Center has been serving clients since December 2009. To extend its helping hand in increasing need of therapy intervention, BPTC conducted its regular initial assessment and re-evaluation of clients last June 26 and 27 led by Teacher Grace Gamboa, the center’s occupational therapy consultant. The regular update of programs and services of the center ensures quality and competency in addressing special needs of its clients. Continuing large scale advocacy through seminars and caravans have been conducted regularly in all parts of Nueva Ecija, with the aim of creating collaborations among professionals in the academe, extensive awareness campaign in understanding the local special needs community and the significance of early intervention. Providing necessary information about different disabilities and handling common behavioral issues inside the regular classroom setting were also discussed. Special art activities and body movements such as dancing were done during mall caravan. It highlighted creativity and functional way of communicating thoughts, ideas and expressions as well as being therapeutic.
